General principles of EAA travel reimbursement

Travel grants will be paid on a reimbursement basis. Reimbursement is made against the following documentation:
-          Completed and signed claim form (please find enclosed)
-          Copies of invoices/receipts for travel expenses

Reimbursable travel expenses include:  
-          Flight or train tickets
-          Travel from/to the airport or train station
-          Car travel: fuel expenses and motorway fees

EAA Travel Grants - Dedicated to EAA Schools

The EAA offers travel grants to support the participation of its members in the EAA School program.
Grants of up to €350 each are available on a cost-reimbursement basis.
Please note that the EAA does not cover registration fees.

The applicant must provide a signed EAA School - Travel Grant Application form before the deadline specified above.

Eligibility criteria:

• All EAA members are eligible to apply for the EAA School grants, with no age limit; however, priority will be given to applicants under 45 years old
• To apply for a grant, applicants must have their EAA membership fully paid through 2026

• Each EAA member may receive only one EAA Travel Grant per calendar year

Other EAA Travel Grants

EAA offers travel grants to support the participation of EAA members at endorsed meetings, as announced in the newsletters.
Grants of up to €500 each are available on a cost-reimbursement basis.

Eligibility criteria:

• EAA membership in good standing (membership fees paid up to 2026), no age limit
• Applicant must be the first/presenting author of an accepted abstract
• Each EAA member can receive only one Travel Grant per calendar year.

Selection & Reimbursement:
Evaluation is carried out by the EAA Executive Committee. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within 4 weeks of the application deadline. These grants are intended to help cover attendees’ travel expenses on a cost-reimbursement basis, based on invoices. Please note that registration fees are not covered.
